Hummus


1 (15- to 16-oz) can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained –excess skins removed
2 T fresh lemon juice
2 T water (drizzle in for desired consistency)
2 T extra-virgin olive oil plus additional for drizzling
3 garlic cloves, peeled
2 t ground cumin
¼ t cayenne pepper
1 t paprika

Place all ingredients (except the water) into the food processor. Process until smooth adding water, 1 T at a time until it reaches desired consistency. Taste. Adjust flavor with salt and pepper. Serve drizzled lightly with more extra virgin olive oil and if you like it a bit hotter, add hot sauce in the center.
