Crustless Apple Pie with Crunchy Nut Topping

This is the answer for those who don't love pie crust! It's a crustless pie...all of the wonderfulness of a dutch apple pie without the bottom crust.  Saving fat, calories and carbs.  And the topping we use here, has whole wheat flour along with rolled oats.  Better carbs.  Always thinking aren't you?

5 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
2 to 3 t. lemon juice
1 T. brown sugar  + 1 T. sucralose
1 t. cinnamon

1/3 c. whole wheat flour
1/3 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c. rolled oats
1/8 c. brown sugar + 1/8 c. sucralose
2 T. butter alternative
2 T. non-fat yogurt
2 T. canola oil
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Toss apple slices with lemon juice, brown sugar/sucralose and cinnamon. Pour apple mixture into baking dish, cover with foil, and bake at 375 for 20 minutes.

To make topping mix together flours, oats and brown sugar/sucralose. Add butter alternative and yogurt and blend well with a fork or pastry cutter. Add oil and chopped nuts. Remove apples from oven, remove foil, and cover with topping mixture.

Bake for another 30 minutes until topping is browned and apples are bubbly.
